Today, Thursday, May 29, is President Clinton's final full day in Europe. He will spend the day in London, England visiting newly elected Prime Minister Tony Blair. Major events of the President's day include:

U.S. Embassy Staff Meet and Greet

Bilateral Meeting with Prime Minister Blair

President Clinton will visit 10 Downing Street for his first official visit with Prime Minister Blair. During their meeting they are expected to discuss the upcoming Denver Summit of the Eight, and July's Madrid NATO summit, along with the Northern Ireland Peace Process, conditions in the Former Yugoslavia and other matters of shared interest. The President is also expected to visit with members of the Prime Minister's new cabinet. The meeting will be followed by lunch and a joint press statement.

U.S. Embassy Staff Meet and Greet

President Clinton will meet with U.S. Embassy staff and families in London. Following an introduction by Ambassador William Crowe the President will deliver brief remarks, including a salute to Ambassador Crowe.
