Comments for Speeches

These comments can be included in speeches. It is suggested that the comments be added at the end of comments and before concluding remarks

"Before I conclude my remarks, please allow me to add a comment about a very important occasion all Americans should observe. Memorial Day is approaching, and I am concerned that we do not fully understand its relevance in today's world. It seems that many have a growing tendency to think that Memorial Day merely signals the opening for the neighborhood swimming pool. We have all enjoyed our freedom in this great nation, and it is critical that we all remember that freedom is not free. Just look at the news around the world, and you will see that people still struggle to attain freedom. Ours has been won by the valiant efforts and sacrifices of many Americans over the years, and it is appropriate that we pay homage to those people and their sacrifice. The National Moment of Remembrance is established to do just that. So on Memorial Day, Monday, May 29th, please pause for one minute at 3:00PM local time and consider the meaning of freedom. And remember the sacrifices of those who fought to protect it."
