 PRESIDENT CLINTON NAMES FOUR MEMBERS TO SERVE ON THE DWIGHT D. EISENHOWER
                            MEMORIAL COMMISION


     President Clinton today announced his intent to appoint D. David
Eisenhower, Alfred Geduldig, Susan B. Harris and Rocco C. Siciliano as
Members of the Dwight D. Eisenhower Memorial Commission.

     Mr. D. David Eisenhower, of Berwyn, Pennsylvania, is a writer, teacher
and lecturer at the Annenberg School of Communications at the University of
Pennsylvania.  He is the recipient of seven honorary doctorates and has
received the Golden Slipper Award for Public Service in Philadelphia.  Mr.
Eisenhower is the grandson of President Dwight D. Eisenhower.  He received
a B.A. degree from Amherst College and a J.D. from the George Washington
University.

     Mr. Alfred Geduldig, of New York, New York, is a principal of Geduldig
& Ferguson, Inc., a strategic communications firm.  Mr. Geduldig serves on
the communication advisory committees of the Black Executives Exchange
Program (National Urban League) and United Way of New York.  He is a former
Non-Governmental Organization delegate to the UN for the International
Public Relations Association and a member of the Private Sector Advisory
Council for the United States Information Agency.  Mr. Geduldig received a
B.A. degree from New York University.

     Ms. Susan B. Harris, of Bethesda, Maryland, is a consultant with
Hadassah?s Washington Action Office.  Prior to that, she was a consultant
at Heidepriem & Mager Inc.  From 1992 until 1998, Ms. Harris was the
Washington Representative for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.  She
received a B.A. degree from the George Washington University and a J.D.
from American University.

     Mr. Rocco C. Siciliano, of Beverly Hills, California, is Chairman of
the Board of the Dwight D. Eisenhower World Affairs Institute.  He was the
youngest Special Assistant to President Dwight Eisenhower.  Mr. Siciliano
is a World War II combat decorated veteran and is very active in public
service in California, where he was also the Chairman of the California
Business Roundtable.  He received a B.A. degree from the University of Utah
and a L.L.B. from the Georgetown University Law School.

     Public Law 106-79, the Department of Defense Appropriations Act,
established the Dwight D. Eisenhower Memorial Commission.  The Commission
is charged with formulating plans for an appropriate permanent memorial to
Dwight D. Eisenhower to perpetuate his memory and his contributions to the
United States.
