FAIRBANKS NORTH STAR BOROUGH SCHOOL DISTRICT, FAIRBANKS $349,010
Four centers will provide an array of extended day and summer services that will result in reduced drug use, reduced violence, increases in academic performance, a greater capacity for healthy living, and a safe place to be after school.

LOWER KUSKOKWIM SCHOOL DISTRICT, BETHEL $1,174,572

This consortium of six sites--growing to nine in Year two--will provide students with assistance in reading and other academics, as well as cultural activities.

SITKA SCHOOL DISTRICT, SITKA $102,244
The OASIS (Outstanding Achievement for Students In Sitka) project will offer supplementary summer enrichment and enhanced tutoring support, long-term mentoring relationships, a series of interest-sharing workshops, recreation activities, and opportunities to join clubs focused on particular interest areas to middle school students in the remote island community of Sitka.
