Clifton Kellogg
Senior Advisor of the National Economic Council

Clifton Kellogg recently became a Senior Advisor at the National Economic Council at the White House, primarily responsible for issues of community economic development, including the Administration's New Markets Initiative. From 1997 until to early this year, he served as Senior Advisor at the Treasury Department in the Office of Community Development Policy. From 1990 to 1997, Mr. Kellogg served in several positions with Shorebank in Chicago: Vice President of Commercial Lending, focusing on retailers and small manufacturers on Chicago's South Side and West Side; President of Shorebank Enterprise, a nonprofit business advisory firm that operated an entrepreneurship program for African American professionals, provided market research to small firms, and invested higher-risk capital on the West Side of Chicago. Mr. Kellogg has consulted to development finance institutions in Bangladesh, Bosnia and Canada. Mr. Kellogg graduated from Yale Law School and Stanford Business School.
