Introduction by KENNETH L. ADELMAN
Thank you very much, Secretary Curtis. Thank you, Josh Lederberg, for being here. Professor Lederberg is at Rockefeller University, where he was President for a number of years. He received at the age of 33 the Nobel Prize in Physiology of Medicine for his work. He is Professor of Genetics, and he has been involved in government science boards for a good number of years, including the Defense Science Board, the CNO Executive Panel, the Commission on Integrated Long- Range Strategy, and he has a particular concern for biological and chemical weapon proliferation.
