DECATUR PUBLIC SCHOOLS, DECATUR $90,745
The Learning Center, based at the district's middle school, will establish a before- and after-school program focused on students in academic need indicated by low state-proficiency test scores, as well as tutoring and mentoring. Several local businesses will participate in providing food, an adult education program, and health services.

TEXARKANA ARKANSAS SCHOOL DISTRICT #7, TEXARKANA $306,801
The Texarkana Communities of Promise project in Miller County will focus on at-risk youth of ages 6-18 years, providing structured transitional, comprehensive life skills training and experiences, academic enrichment, health, mental health, social and recreational activities through a broad coalition of service agencies, civic groups, businesses, churches, neighborhood groups, and government units.

NETTLETON PUBLIC SCHOOLS, JONESBORO $184,480
Project Nettleton will provide services that will focus on reducing violent behavior and drug abuse, promoting recreational activities for children, and providing family support. Project services will be provided before and after school and in the summer to improve the quality of life for students, families and the community.
