President Clinton to Visit Oslo, Norway, November 1-2, 1999

President Clinton will travel to Oslo, Norway on November 1-2, 1999 for a state visit at the invitation of King Harald V. The President will take part in events commemorating the late Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin, at the invitation of Prime Minister Kjell Magne Bondevik.

The President also will take this opportunity to meet with Prime Minister Barak and Chairman Arafat to build on Yitzhak Rabin’s legacy and move closer to his goal: a permanent peace between Israel and the Palestinian people.
