| First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton Addresses the 150th Anniversary
Celebration of the Women's Rights Convention
 | "By giving our own gifts to the future, we can make sure
that when the new
millennium finally comes, we won't just be celebrating a new year; we
will be celebrating the enduring strength of our democracy, the renewal
of our sense of citizenship, and the full flowering of the American mind
and spirit."
-- First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton

President Clinton
proposed a Millennium Fund to Save America's Treasures
that would be dedicated to the historic preservation of those aspects of
our shared heritage -- from the flag that inspired Francis Scott Key to
write the Star Spangled Banner to the historic home of Harriet Tubman --
which define our nation and transcend the generations. To show her
support for this fund, First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton will be visiting
historic sites from Washington, D.C. to Seneca Falls, N.Y. from July 13th
- July 16th, 1998.
