Goal As part of EEOC's overall enforcement goal, to eliminate employment discrimination against persons with HIV disease.
Objective

Enforce Title I of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), which protects job applicants and employees with HIV disease from employment discrimination.

Action Steps
  1. Receive, investigate, and resolve ADA discrimination complaints from job applicants and employees with HIV disease.
  2. Litigate select cases involving employment discrimination against persons with HIV disease.
  3. Educate the public regarding ADA's protections for job applicants and employees with HIV disease.
