BILL TITLE: Wellton-Mohawk Transfer Act
BILL PURPOSE: Authorizes the Department of the Interior to convey title to certain
aspects of the Gila Project, Arizona, to the Wellton-Mohawk Irrigation and Drainage
District.
OMB ESTIMATE: P.L. 106-221 provides for the fair market value exchange of
designated lands within or adjacent to the project. OMB estimates that the District would
pay about $2 million in 2002 for certain federally owned lands.
