ANGELA E. OH ADVISORY BOARD MEMBER
Angela E. Oh joined Beck, De Corso, Daly, Barrera & Oh in June 1987 and has developed a state and federal criminal defense practice, including representation of juvenile offenders.
Ms. Oh received her Juris Doctor from King Hall at the University of California, Davis in 1986. She is the 1996 recipient of the Distinguished Alumni Award by the King Hall, UC Davis School of Law. She was granted her Master of Public Health in 1981 and her Bachelor of Arts in 1977 by the University of California, Los Angeles.
Ms. Oh has been a leader in the organized bar and civic organizations in the Los Angeles area. Following the 1992 riots in Los Angeles, Ms. Oh was appointed to serve as Special Counsel to the Assembly Special Committee on the Los Angeles Crisis.
Ms. Oh served as a member of U.S. Senator Barbara Boxer's Federal Judicial Nominations Committee for the Central District of California. The Committee was charged with evaluating prospective federal appointments, including judgeships and other federal positions in the Central District of California.
Ms. Oh's community and professional involvements include serving as Commissioner to the Los Angeles City Human Relations Commission, President of the Korean American Bar Association of Southern California, Board member of the California Women's Law Center, Board member of Lawyers' Mutual Insurance Company, and Lawyer Representative to the Ninth Circuit Judicial Conference.
Ms. Oh has been a frequent contributor to such publications as The Los Angeles Times, Los Angeles Sentinel, Rafu Shimpo, California Minority Attorney Report, KoreAm Journal, Yisei and various law school journals.
She is also an accomplished public speaker who has addressed universities and organizations across the United States, including Dartmouth College, Hastings School of Law, Columbia University, Harvard Law School and the Princeton Theology Seminary.
