Africa: True or False?

Purpose:

To learn about African geography and culture.

Materials:

Worksheet, True or False?

Suggested Activities:

Have students read through the statements on the Africa "True or False?" worksheet. Answer questions about vocabulary.

Working individually or in pairs, have students lightly color the spaces with true statements. (They should see a map of Africa emerge as they color.)

Have groups of students research basic facts about your state or the United States. Make true or false puzzle maps for a younger class.

Have groups of students research basic facts about Ghana, Uganda, Rwanda, South Africa, Botswana and Senegal. Make true or false puzzle maps for a younger class.
